(REPOSTED) If An Onion Was A Person... (Poem by Mark Swift)

Author's Note: I told many of you I'd write one. Here it is!
.
If an onion was a person,
would I cry any less?
If an onion was a person,
would its layers be few?
If an onion was a person,
would it finally be spared?
If an onion was a person,
I would cry with it every day.
If an onion was a person,
No knife would harm it.
If an onion was a person,

  2. First off, the picture is A-mazing. Second of all, the poem is A-mazing. The onion references makes it humorous but there's a truer and deeper meaning behind that, you were right, I do like the next poems you posted. :D

This one is actually one I didn't write yesterday, though. I started it about a week ago, rewrote it today

  6. Moral of the story: cannibalism is fine as long as you cut them up small enough

    Hmm....

Moral of the story: In the end, the outer layer or what we all see is discarded, revealing the inside, which is all that matters

    No, that's too deep

Moral of the story: Submerge people in water long enough and you'll get a new one with flowers

-.- dat one was stoopidz -.-

Moral of the story: All of your friends are onions. THEY STINK (ba-da-boom tss)

    1. Your logic: "All of Mark Borne's friends are stupid."
Fact: Kyra is one of Mark Borne's friends.
      Logically: Kyra is stupid!
Congrats, you've just insulted yourself :D

In truth, your second one was the closest. I definitely don't mean what's seen is discarded, though; the outer layers are still layers to what (or who) that onion (or person) is

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"
