Vacation! And More

First order of business, I'm going on a vacation!  Do I like vacations? No. Road trips are by far my least favorite activity that I often do. But do I like being there once the trip over is done with? OF COURSE I DO!!! So I'm thrilled! I'm going to also get to see some family while I'm there! Cool, right? That means I won't be around for a while. I might be able to rig my Kindle to allow me to respond to comments, but there won't be any new posts, I will not have access to my Submissions form, etc. So, until I get back (who knows when) do not expect any content to be published at all . Maybe don't even expect me to comment, as I might not even do that, but who knows? The start of my vacation is also tomorrow , and I won't be on tomorrow morning, so basically this is my last post before my vaca. And secondly, since I have been in the horrifying situation of watching hurricane-force-winds bend glass in an awfully terrifying manner, I have sympathy for

Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker (D23 Footage Revealed)

At D23, Lucasfilms revealed what is essentially another Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker trailer. This is especially big, because as it's been announced, Rise of Skywalker is going to be the final film in the Skywalker Saga. Two other trilogies are planned, however they are bound to take place in different time periods, and perhaps different places. All your beloved characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and more will be completely irrelevant except in possible stand alone films and Disney+ TV shows. I would love to go into detail about every little scene in the Rise of Skywalker footage, but rather than reading my descriptions of it, you can watch it instead! ( If you can't really see the video, click on this shiny line of text to be taken to it on YouTube! ) What's your favorite part of the reveal? Share in the comments!

An Eastern Lily (Poem by A Chief Among Sinners)

Father, am I no longer a fawn faced Eastern Lily among the wanton wine crimson carnations and where the reeds sing a sweet whistle? Do you hear the murmur of wind which stings my flesh as some golden flame of dawn or see the glinted salt of my silver sweat touch my brow? Am I any longer an Egyptian Flower growing on the humid shore of sand by the Nile, as some wild lavender lotus? Or am I weed, a lone thistle? I hear the trembling scarlet river of mortal blood ring in some forgotten ancient trill, like the chant of red plumed cranes! What is the fruit I sow? Salt, salt as crude cold crystals at my brow, dry, dry as the rainless desert shivering with raw red sores in the leper dunes! O’, Father, look how the French tamarisk of blush rose blossoms sings some aged Hebrew song by the berry tainted Nile, Wind, wind as the fire on the writhing skinny sprig bush in the wild desert, cease, cease as man on his final day, in the creation of his ruins! Father, you see I look at the trembling pal

Good Byes (Poem by Shaelynspoems)

Goodbyes For once I believed that love was a never ending circle, But that’s not the case, It can end and it’s not pretty. Death can end it and that’s a natural price we must pay for your lives. But when you lose someone, We’re constantly reminded that we can have everything forever. So why is it so hard to say goodbye? Why is it so hard to say goodbye to those you love, Even if all they did was hurt you? Is it because they left an imprint on my life, Because they may have influenced the path that I am going down? Goodbye, God I hate saying those words. They make me tear-up. I hate knowing that each conversation may be our last. So yes I may refuse to say “Goodbye,” but I’ll always kiss you goodnight. Mark's Comment for the Author: Sorry! I just noticed this! I'm not on much in the mornings, and besides that, I've gotten kinda lazy with my blog. Sorry for it being posted a bit late. Mark's Comment for the Readers: Check out Shaelynspoems' blog !

Is Your Cat A Ninja? (Written by Lady Knight)

Is your cat a ninja? Cats are graceful mysterious creatures. Did you know that some of them are ninjas? Do you really know what ninjas are. Ninjas are not the people in black footy pajamas like what you see in American TV but are an ancient force of nature. Ninjas or Shinboi are Japanese mercenaries that where made up of the common people. These people were so secret that not much known about them. They were not known for wearing black but for their excellent disguises such as every day people and their unique skill in creating homemade weapons. Cats were also a big deal in Japanese history. So what if there was cat ninjas? If your cat does any of these thing he might be a ninja: 1. He is known for surprise attacks. 2. He uses your legs as punching dummies. 3. He seems to practice throwing ninja stars around (using toys) 4. He can hide in plan sight (his ninja skills) 5. He is a common cat (ninjas are the common people) 6. He is small (needs to fight in tight places) If he does

ShaePoems

Granted, compared to the post titles I usually write, this one's a little strange, and it's not clear on what this post is really about. But, this post is drawing attention to the newest featured blog, which is called Shaepoems ! Surprise! There's really no complexity behind the name of this post! This blog I am featuring is a really fun blog with great poetry! I'll admit, I haven't explored the blog as much as I want to, yet, but what little I've read on it is really exciting!
