Lucas Stories REBOOT: Nobody

On a planet far, far away, not too long ago, a boy named Lucas has grown. For the sake of plot convenience, his father has returned, and he's gained several new friends. Consider this a Valentine's Day special- on the 29th of February. Also, sorry this is so short and cheesy. It was cooler in my head, like so many other things.

Lucas and his friends gathered every Wednesday. Oftentimes, Lucas kept quiet. He didn't know what to say or what to do. Sure they were his friends, but talking to them felt strange. So he mostly kept quiet and added a comment or two here or there. Or sometimes, he just would sit there, not even listening.

This was one of those times.

"Hey, Lucas, we need backup," Jared said. "Jessica thinks she's an idiot and we're trying to convince her otherwise."

Lucas snapped back into existence and studied Jessica. "Idiots wouldn't befriend Jared," he pointed.

Jessica still pouted. "Nobody likes me, though. If I was cool, wouldn't somebody like me?"

Lucas, feeling creative, gave her a smile. "You're right. Nobody likes you. Hi, I'm Nobody."

  1. Ooh! Reboots! Welcome to the club, brother XD

This is actually smooth. It's slightly cringe-y, but all pickup lines hurt. But this one didn't hurt me in my very soul as much as I thought! (I swear this is a compliment)

I actually picture Jessica being Finn and Lucas is totally Rey. "I'm nobody."

    1. SO... evidently Rey saying "I'm nobody" was only in the Force Awakens trailer and not the movie

My Talent (Poem by Mark Borne)

Many places, I've come to know, People of different cultures, too; They all have their thing, Something that they can do, But not me, not yet, My talent has yet to show up. I write and write, plots And twists and poems and Even the rare favorite of The readers I've lured And ensnared in my blog. Yet deep inside, I force myself To write the words that meet The lines of text and thoughts. Then I turn to run, and Find the wind upon my face As I escape my life, But it always catches up, And the worries I face Distract me, making the Outside world obsolete. Even in reading, I find Myself buried in stories That show misfortune in the Lives of fictional characters, Directly only to do as they Were told by the writer. And yet, in stories there is a Beauty unmatched by reality, A world that eventually Results in kindness and Peace and excitement. And being in those worlds, If only for a mere moment, Is my hobby. If only I could Be the character in the ...

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per...
