Disney+: Everything I've Watched So Far

Okay, so, a few months have passed, and I've decided to reflect on everything I've seen on Disney+ so far. (Note that, while I have kept rewatching the MCU films with my family, I will not be counting those.)

  1. The Mandalorian
    1. My favorite TV show ever, and given how I like TV shows better than movies, that says something! This show combines action, adventure, characters, and plot very effectively, and is even pretty hilarious! The mystery of the man behind the mask combined with the natural affection for the creature that is called Baby Yoda make this an easy pick for anyone to watch. The main shortcoming? It's only 8 episodes long. Thankfully, we've got a Season 2 coming this Fall!
  2. Star Wars: Rebels (Seasons 1 & 2)
    1. I...-cough-...binged too much in a 3 day period, and thus Rebels is now ruined for me. (NO! THRAWN! I have failed you!😡) However, I did get through the first two seasons of this show before I felt insanely bored and annoyed with it. It's definitely...not as smooth as I remember it being. The animation seems off to me, though I can't place why. The storytelling's still awesome, and I still adore the Ghost crew, but it doesn't feel the same.
  3. Star Wars: Resistance (Season 1: Episode 4)
    1. Way back when (like, a year ago) I missed Episode 4 of the first season of Star Wars: Resistance, so I went back and watched that. I watched an episode from Season 2 right afterwards, too. It was quite comical seeing the huge change in Kaz's character, and I was happy to see how his rivalry with Rucklin was formed.
  4. Lady and the Tramp (Live Action Remake)
    1. I have not seen the original, but I'd reckon everything good about the remake was from the original. Strangely, though, I really enjoyed it. I dislike animal movies, I dislike romance stories, and I loved the live action Lady and the Tramp.
  5. Togo
    1. Again, I dislike animal movies, but this one...wasn't terrible. Nothing I'd rewatch, but it was interesting and fun!
  6. Forky Asks A Question
    1. -dies from laughter-
    2. Oh, you want details. So, yeah, these are, like, 1-minute shorts in which Forky, a character from Toy Story 4 tries to learn stuff.
  7. Aladdin (Live Action Remake)
    1. Also have not seen the original, but hey, for someone who has no bias, I loved this movie! The way the conflict was resolved was simply...-wipes away tear-...simply absolutely beautiful...
  8. The World According to ______ Goldblum
    1. Can't remember his name...but I watched a single episode of this documentary! The one about ice cream! The way he describes the impact of ice cream on society is the impact cheese has on me. And my ice cream reaction is apparently plain "Bleh!" But, it was interesting to learn about how ice cream triggers nostalgia in a way that actually elevates our mood. Like, apparently, in moderation, ice cream is super healthy because of its mental/emotional benefits. Go figure! (Was his name Jeff Goldblum? I don't know.)
Things still on my To-Watch list:
  1. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
    1. Or, at least, rewatch it. Before Season 7 releases in February.
  2. The Lion King (Live Action Remake)
    1. I'm really into seeing these live action remakes, aren't I?
  3. The Mandalorian (Season 2)
    1. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR FALL!!!
  4. Falcon and the Winter Soldier
    1. I believe I also have to wait for Fall on this, too.
  5. Solo: A Star Wars Story
    1. I know I can watch this on Netflix, but I want to see it on Disney+. I still have to wait for the Summer, though.

Comments

  2. The thing I remember is that Star Wars Rebels was a pretty good show...at first. But Ezra becomes that sort of "My PaReNtS" type, then gains control from the Dark Side... who knew that a main character could mess up a show so much? Yes, I blame the protagonist for part of the shows downfall!

    1. The Dark Side arc gave him more character and real character development; he didn't have that in Season 2

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per

Q/A With Shaly

This was bound to happen, like so much that the one that is probably next is I don't know... The Poet of Steel or Spitfire or Lady Knight, or just some other crazy. Plus, you guys know the drill. Mark's Addition : So...well...yeah, if anyone else wants to do one, let me know. Apparently, this is the thing to do on my blog right now, though I admit, I have no clue why.
