Coward (Poem by Mark Borne)

The loyal can abandon their friends,
The strong can fall the furthest.
The happiest cry the longest,
The brave can made the most.
Yet the betrayed stick around,
The weak push the hardest.
The heartbroken smile the brightest,
The cowardly stand the tallest.
So leave me behind,
And shove me down.
Taunt me tears,
And make me scared.
I'll never leave my friends,
And never give up hope.
I'll always grin and joke...
...actually, I'll always be a coward.

  1. I love this poem!

It's so tragic, but then ends in an inspirational note; sorta.

It's so funny! It reminds me of Theyan and Mark Starstike.

It is very much in your style, especially humor-wise

    Definitely one of my favs.

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"
