The Tragedy of Fairforest

Fairforest has now been nuked. For the next 24-ish hours, there will be no roleplay active on my blog. (Moment of silence for our fallen elf traitors.)

I will, of course, take this moment to advertise the Edge of Space roleplay, by providing a list of ways it'll be better than the Fairforest roleplay!

  1. Year-Round
    1. It's not just half a year this time; it's a full year!
  2. Character Customization
    1. In the Fairforest Roleplay, I just placed down boxes and you made your character entirely yourself. This can be way less limiting and even more fun, but it's also difficult and takes a bit of thinking. "Edge of Space" has 5 preset races, however, that you can choose from! (Have to choose from, more accurately.) This may be a con for you, but for me, who doesn't wanr to ponder exactly what kind of character to create, it's nice.
  3. No Politics
    1. The Fairforest Roleplay had a political conflict: the aftermath of the war. But this "Edge of Space" roleplay has no such thing! Now we can obey the blog rules while roleplaying! Yay!
  4. No Superpowers
    1. I must admit, superpowers are incredibly hard to balance, and misbalanced powers leave a bad taste in my mouth. The last roleplay certainly failed to prove to be an exception. This new roleplay, however, has no powers, so while it is still unbalanced, it has nothing to do with an individual's ability.
  5. Enjoy Star Wars or Star Trek?
    1. If Star Wars, then you will love "Edge of Space"! If Star Trek, I don't know, I haven't seen those movies, yet. If neither...COME FOR THE COMMUNITY! :D

My Talent (Poem by Mark Borne)

Many places, I've come to know, People of different cultures, too; They all have their thing, Something that they can do, But not me, not yet, My talent has yet to show up. I write and write, plots And twists and poems and Even the rare favorite of The readers I've lured And ensnared in my blog. Yet deep inside, I force myself To write the words that meet The lines of text and thoughts. Then I turn to run, and Find the wind upon my face As I escape my life, But it always catches up, And the worries I face Distract me, making the Outside world obsolete. Even in reading, I find Myself buried in stories That show misfortune in the Lives of fictional characters, Directly only to do as they Were told by the writer. And yet, in stories there is a Beauty unmatched by reality, A world that eventually Results in kindness and Peace and excitement. And being in those worlds, If only for a mere moment, Is my hobby. If only I could Be the character in the ...

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per...
