Return and Poll Results

I have returned from my amazingly exhausting vacation, and surprisingly have a ton of energy right now. It's amazing how a single night can turn the tide on one's energy levels.

Fairforest was fun, wasn't it? Well, it will not be making a recovery. The Fairforest Sequel Roleplay earned a total of one vote. Curious what the results are? I've made a list below, from first place to last!

Out of a total of 7 voters, 6 of which voted for 2 roleplays as I recommended...

  1. Edge of Space - 7 Votes
  2. New Hope City - 3 Votes
  3. Fairforest Sequel - 1 Vote
  4. The Kingdom of Kleen - 1 Vote
  5. Alternate Fantasy Roleplay - 1
In other words, everyone who participated voted for at least Edge of Space. In other words, Edge of Space is met with 100% popularity, and is therefore the obvious choice. If I were to, say, create a Kingdom of Kleen roleplay instead, I'm pretty sure at least one of you roleplayers will boycott me, and the rest might burst into argument.

However, I will admit, I made a mistake when coming up with roleplays. While the mistake will not be fixed (it's a little late for that), I will admit it here so if I forget next year, someone can remind me. I did not hit every genre I should have; instead of an Alternate Fantasy Roleplay, I should have created some sort of Dystopian/Utopian Roleplay. Dystopia is a rather popular genre, and would have made for an excellent roleplay, and furthermore, as you can see, fantasy wasn't shockingly popular.

Anyways, I've returned. I've got a new poem I'll post at some point, though it's not my best work.

  1. Personally, i saw the New Hope City as a dystopian.

But yay! Edge of Space won!

    1. I'd have called it more a Failed Utopia. It's not like the world was ending in that one, it's just an attempt at a better word, and no one really cared to properly clean up the project -shrug-

I've been thinking about dystopias, and I honestly have this great idea: two large island cities, one utopian, one dystopian. A giant bridge connects the two islands, and is heavily regulated by both governments. The utopian government wants to keep the dystopians out, and the dystopian government wants to keep its people from fleeing, and is rather angry towards the utopians for being as perfect as they are

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per

This was bound to happen, like so much that the one that is probably next is I don't know... The Poet of Steel or Spitfire or Lady Knight, or just some other crazy. Plus, you guys know the drill. Mark's Addition : So...well...yeah, if anyone else wants to do one, let me know. Apparently, this is the thing to do on my blog right now, though I admit, I have no clue why.
