You Told Me (Poem by Kyra Organa)

You told me I was safe You told me I had nothing to fear You told me that you’ll wipe away my tears You told me that you loved me You told me you’d never leave my side Then you left And I realized you were a lie

Author's Note: This poem is based upon a relationship in my Star Wars story. Also, a thanks to ShaePoems (that;s her name, right?) for this prompt

Mark's Addition: ShaePoems' outdated prompt, you mean? Though, I've admittingly haven't been better. Shameless plug, at this precise time I posted my own poem responding to the same prompt. Mine is called, "Grow Up" for a bit of name variety.

    1. Thank you! I'm glad you think I'm even comparable to Mark's

    2. We shouldn't be competing to find out who's more capable of making others cry lol

We both know I'd win that one, anyways, since it would be more sudden and unexpected from me -shrug-

    3. Well it depends. For example, I can make people cry, but only because i'm irrated or offendd someone. You can make people cry because you've shattered them. XD

I actually think it is MORE expected, because you are more in touch with your emotions, so you can tug people's heartstrins better.

where's the likes? There were 8. Now there is 4. Same for "Grow up"

    4. So I still win -shrug- Shattering people is more powerful than offending or irritating them lol

When it comes to my poetry, it's more expected, yes. But I was referencing actual, real, honest tears in a real physical world. No one ever expects me to affect people like that outside my poetry, and I try to upkeep that reputation

Huh, you're right...Idk. Usually they come back; I always thought it was a glitch on my end, but I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps it's a site-wide glitch. They should come back soon

    5. It's also harder to do. So yes, for this, you win

true. But i've never made people cry like that, ever. You can make people sad, i just make them laugh (or scared) XD

      Weird

    6. -wonders how Mark communicated so much solely through actions-

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per

Q/A With Shaly

This was bound to happen, like so much that the one that is probably next is I don't know... The Poet of Steel or Spitfire or Lady Knight, or just some other crazy. Plus, you guys know the drill. Mark's Addition : So...well...yeah, if anyone else wants to do one, let me know. Apparently, this is the thing to do on my blog right now, though I admit, I have no clue why.
