September Contest/Poll!

First off, no poll yet! Sorry, it's not a trick!

For the next two weeks, I will have this Google Form open! It is the submission form for the Six-Word-Story contest, which I hear are pretty popular. The rules? It has to be six words long exactly. No more, no less. Also, make sure it's your own work.

And what might the poll be? The poll will be voting for the winner! The rules for the poll are to not vote for yourself, and to vote twice. Not once, twice.

The contest submissions will be closed on the 21st, and the poll will open that day. The poll will then close on the 28th, and the winner of the contest will be announced on the 30th.

Good luck, y'all! (And no, I'm not participating. I'll do a Six-Word-Story for fun, but I'm not actually competing.)

    6. Hang on...you had 6...got rid of the more serious ones (PLURAL), and now you've got 5? Does that mean all this time 6-2=5 when I thought it was an entirely different equation??? :O

    1. Aye, a useful tool

And considering Kyra got rid of the serious ones and left the not-so-serious ones? Smart, too!

    2. Gah! Me and my big mouth. BUT you aren't allowed to vote for yourself....

I'll gladly take that compliment, though.

    3. It's ok, I could only think of 1 story anyway.

    4. Good, because if you didn't take the compliment, it'd have gone to waste lol

And I kinda think Poet of Steel might be smarter in this case. If you put all effort into 1 good story, it provides benefits in the long-run (Says the guy who's read all the submitted Six-Word-Stories so far! So you know it means something here)

    5. The story took some deep though, and it isn't the best, and probably won't win, but it's something.

    6. Well, so far, yours is one of the ones I want to vote for, so who knows? -shrug-

Of course, that doesn't mean everyone else will vote for yours...

My Talent (Poem by Mark Borne)

Many places, I've come to know, People of different cultures, too; They all have their thing, Something that they can do, But not me, not yet, My talent has yet to show up. I write and write, plots And twists and poems and Even the rare favorite of The readers I've lured And ensnared in my blog. Yet deep inside, I force myself To write the words that meet The lines of text and thoughts. Then I turn to run, and Find the wind upon my face As I escape my life, But it always catches up, And the worries I face Distract me, making the Outside world obsolete. Even in reading, I find Myself buried in stories That show misfortune in the Lives of fictional characters, Directly only to do as they Were told by the writer. And yet, in stories there is a Beauty unmatched by reality, A world that eventually Results in kindness and Peace and excitement. And being in those worlds, If only for a mere moment, Is my hobby. If only I could Be the character in the ...

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per...
