Contest Results and Roleplay Information

As far as the contest goes, I wish I could say I was surprised. There was only one set of submissions, belonging to S. Thorston Scarlett and Lucy J., but don't let that get you down! In a sense, you won because you were the only two who actually set the time aside to participate! I will post your submissions later in the week.

As far as the roleplay goes, it will feature life in an elvish castle in the middle of the forest. The kingdom is now home to many other races.

Roleplay Rules:

Start with 1 character per person
Keep it family friendly
There will be a character form you need to fill out, and I will have to accept the character
Be polite

Bear in mind, if you check for email notifications, you'll probably get anywhere from none to hundreds; the roleplay is fueled by activity, and since I've obviously never had a roleplay on this blog before, I have no idea what to expect.

  1. Will the Kitsune be in this mythical world? They are fox/shapeshifters and known for being tricksters. They have other OP powers, but if they're allowed, i'll just focus on the shapeshifting. XD

    1. I guess so? But I'd probably restrict their powers to solely shapeshifting

    2. Thanks! One way to figure out if they are Kitsune is if they have a tail. When they shapeshift, they can't eliminate their tail.

    3. There are plenty of other mythical species that have tails, though -shrug-

    4. true. When will the character form be released? (Sorry for totally spamming you. As you can tell, I'm totally pumped!)

    5. Actually, it's released right now, on the Roleplay Page. I've updated it

My Talent (Poem by Mark Borne)

Many places, I've come to know, People of different cultures, too; They all have their thing, Something that they can do, But not me, not yet, My talent has yet to show up. I write and write, plots And twists and poems and Even the rare favorite of The readers I've lured And ensnared in my blog. Yet deep inside, I force myself To write the words that meet The lines of text and thoughts. Then I turn to run, and Find the wind upon my face As I escape my life, But it always catches up, And the worries I face Distract me, making the Outside world obsolete. Even in reading, I find Myself buried in stories That show misfortune in the Lives of fictional characters, Directly only to do as they Were told by the writer. And yet, in stories there is a Beauty unmatched by reality, A world that eventually Results in kindness and Peace and excitement. And being in those worlds, If only for a mere moment, Is my hobby. If only I could Be the character in the ...

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per...
