Let's kick off Kyra's marathon with the first comic this blog has seen!
She had a higher-quality image sent, too, but it would only work as a word document on my computer, and I can't upload word documents to Blogger, so I had to use the original. So, for those who can't read it, I've included the following below:
Part 1:
Trash Can: For years we've been hiding in the shadows!
Sign: Stop Treating Us Like TRASH!
Part 2:
Subtitle: Life, Death, Trashcans
Trash Can: We have been abused! Society doesn't know how crucial we are to its survival. We will rise and fight! Many will lose their lives, but we will have vengeance!
Part 3:
Trash Can: Vengeance!
Part 4:
Subtitle: The next morning...
Man: Why?
HOWEVER! This is also a contest! Kyra's Trash Can sequel is up against Spitfire's Bacon sequel, so let's pause Kyra's marathon in order to present Spitfire's part of the contest (Cast your votes in the comments!):
Hunt for Bacon: Part 1
I’m sitting on the top bunk in my cabin with my friend. Hearing kids scream and yell bacon, I crack the door and see a group sweaty children. I say with a questioning voice, “What are you doing?” The kids giggle back, “We are looking for the Bacon.” I was confused and reply, “Can I help you find Bacon? You need me because I know the Bacon.” The kids ask, “Where do you think she is?” “In her cabin.” The group of starving children run like little beasts chanting slowly, “Bacon, Bacon, Bacon,” over and over. When we open the door to her cabin, a girl admits, “The Bacon is not here!”

Sorry about the fuzzy graphics. Thanks for including subtitles!
ReplyDeleteGood job on the comic.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
DeleteHow are you guys fully awake already?? :O
DeleteNo clue. Oh, yeah, I have a maniacal alarm clock bent upon the death of humanity. XD
DeletexD
DeleteThis was nice a thing to see in the morning, I didn't crack up laughing (I think my humor is sour in the morning) but, I loved reading your comic, Kyra. And I did smile and almost laughed. Anyway, I loved the comic. My vote is for you, and thank you, for just submitting it, its one of those things that is very refreshing to see. Not, that a trash can makes me happy, it's just you know... it's nice to smile, even when you're not a morning person.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's alright. It's not really a laugh out loud comic, more of a pleasant smirk one.
DeleteTrash CAN make you happy (badda-boom-tss)
Score! I made a non-morning person mildly pleased!
I love the comic. It’s very funny.
ReplyDeleteI can’t wait to see what the rest of this marathon brings. I’m really looking forward to “Cinderella in Space” especially.
Thank you. :)
Delete*cackles maniacally* Cinderella in space...
it was sooooooooo funny. I loved It XD
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you did. :D
DeleteHa! I love this, and I love how you made a comic with it, it made the humor in the piece stick out and made you visualize it more. It was awesome!!
ReplyDeleteAlso where do I vote? :)
"Cast your votes in the comments!"
DeleteThanks! I'm glad you like it.
DeleteCan I do one vote a piece?
Delete...like vote for both of them?
DeleteMy vote is for the trash can
ReplyDeleteWhooo! You go Marysa!
DeleteIt'd be wrong not to vote for my spirit animal xD
DeleteWell, here is a painfully inspirational speech for you "It's trash CAN, not trash can't" XD
DeleteThat means you'd vote bacon, though, right? Because bacon is awesome. Trash cans are the exact opposite of awesome :/
DeleteOh, man
DeleteWell, I am known as Bacon, so awesome is correct. Thanks for the compliment. :)
DeleteIt is not wise to believe yourself to be what young kids have been deluded into believing you are :)
DeleteThe trash can is actually my home, seeing as I am trash
Delete"My mom said I could be anything so I became bacon" lol
DeleteTrust me, their parents love me to.
DeleteYou realized you insulted Marysa, right? XD
You're not, Rysa, you're awesome! Maybe you spend a bit too much time with poetry, but given how I spend way too much time on video games and my blog (not exactly a better use of time than poetry), I'm in no way one to judge :P
DeletePretty much all I do is write. Well, except since tuesday, in which I've contracted the flu, and have been spending copious amounts of time watching garbage videos on youtube. (This is why the content on my website has been what it is).
DeleteAlso, if I didn't spend as much time on poetry as I do, I wouldn't be at the skill level I am right now.
DeleteMan, I wish I had the drive to write daily. Marysa, do you write when inspiration comes, or just something like "form 3-4 i will write something"?
DeleteI write whenever the inspiration comes, it's pretty random. Sometimes I'll just be in the mood to write and read poems until I get an idea.
Deletehuh. Well, congrats on being such a good writer!
DeleteCan I vote for my self?
ReplyDeleteI vote that spitfire can vote for themselves
DeleteYes you may, Spitfire! :D
DeleteWow, this is close!
ReplyDeleteYes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I though it would be a no.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my vote is for Kyra.
ReplyDeleteWhoo!
DeleteNo! it was so close
ReplyDeleteWell, technically, I'm the blog maker, so I can get 2 votes...
Delete<.<
Lol
Thanks Mark.
DeleteWow, Spitfire's work is really awesome for you to vote like that!
Delete*mumbles* dang it. it's tied
