Day Off

Welp, I haven't quite finished Watching Time Chapter 10, yet, and have pretty much no poetry written down, plus submissions from other people have run out, so I'll write a bunch of poetry today to carry me through February. In the meantime, enjoy the day without activity on this blog! And eat a mint or something. It might be the sugar, I don't know, but they are SUPER addictive, regardless if your breath is bad or not.
(EDIT: If I get to it, I may or may not actually do statistics for this blog.)

  1. Aw. oh well. I'm impressed you've lasted as long as you did. If you're desperate, you could use one of the poems I've been saving for a marathon. (;

    1. That would severely divide the chances of you ever having a marathon; it's getting close to a month since you submitted those two, and you've made no progress towards having anything else ready lol (Well, other than that bacon poem, but that was posted outside of the marathon; you get my meaning)

    2. true. I'm gonna submit (or at least try to) my cinderella in space story for the short story contest.

    3. That would mean if you lose the contest, Cinderella In Space may not be featured on my blog :/ Hmm...well, one week left! :D (A week and a day, at least)

    4. Well then, if it loses (which is possible, because my 9-year old self created it, or it might be too long), add it to my marathon. XD

    5. I've never seen you use that (>:)) before. I'm scared. :D

    6. I used to use it a lot more; now it's more of a "special occasion" type of face >:)

  2. You can always take from my website whenever you want.
I've been stuck in a hole of starting long poems, and not finishing them.
And I haven't been writing short ones.
I joined a short story contest, but haven't written anything worth posting.

    1. I'll keep that in mind :D Hmm...I'm thinking about your first poem :/

    2. Okay, preferably not that lol

You can choose something from my book too if you want.

      Ofc it wasn't good

    6. "Shush"; another word you say when I make sense XD

    7. But you don't make sense at all right now

    8. Maybe not, but neither do you :D It being your first poem is no reason for why it might be bad; it's beautiful

    9. It's just a crappy poem that sounds like a second grader wrote it.

    10. Or a beautiful poem that you wrote :P

  3. Whatever I have on my blog, too, you can use as well if you want. Tbh, I’m kind of surprised this happened, but everyone can have slow days on their site and pick it back up the following days.

    1. I agree, it has happened to me as well. Also, my blog has reached 1K views! I have a whole post about it!

    2. Nice! :D I'll check it out!

  4. I will totally have a mint. I love peppermint and spearmint. Everyone else in my family hates mint, but I love it. I can't wait to read, "Watching Time." Oh, and I am working on some poetry too, but since I have mounds of schoolwork, I probably won't submit it until next week.

    1. Peppermints are awesome :O

    2. I know they are, just try telling that to my family. My siblings gag if they smell mint. And my Mom, well she's seen the light. She says I have brought her to the dark side.

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"

Q/A With Shaly

This was bound to happen, like so much that the one that is probably next is I don't know... The Poet of Steel or Spitfire or Lady Knight, or just some other crazy. Plus, you guys know the drill. Mark's Addition : So...well...yeah, if anyone else wants to do one, let me know. Apparently, this is the thing to do on my blog right now, though I admit, I have no clue why.

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per
