The Breeze (Poem by Gabby L.)

Cold to the touch You need gloves If you want this Type of sad love Iā€™m contaminated Darkened by what I have created A painted cast Upon fragments Of chipped skin Hoping this sin Will disappear With the wind It always blows Far away from Who I used to be These feelings Donā€™t mean Anything to me I should feel Something real But I donā€™t know How thatā€™s possible In this cast Itā€™s hard to move But Iā€™ll be able to Once this month Has passed, it Wonā€™t last me More than the Evening breeze Here one instant Gone the next The breeze west Will take away Every single Ounce of pain This day will pass These feelings They wonā€™t last Iā€™ll be okay Tomorrow is A brand new day Iā€™ll be alright The next night Wonā€™t be made Of fear and fright Iā€™ll be fine Donā€™t worry The light shines Iā€™m not in a hurry The sun will rise And the moon Will set Iā€™ll be okay The breeze Will take Me away

  1. I really love this, Gabby. This is amazing, and I love how you arranged the lines--really sets the mood of the poem, in my opinion, along with the pace, which seems fast. This was beautiful. Well done!

  3. I LOVE this! So much meaning, and I really like how it shows even the shadows can bring light! Especially in dark times! Remind's me of that one CWC meeting, where you didn't come, but after 35 minutes and 34 seconds of waiting, you showed up just at the end! That made my day! So I can easily relate to this poem!
Note that the time above I did not count. (That would be weird)
    Nice poem!

My Talent (Poem by Mark Borne)

Many places, I've come to know, People of different cultures, too; They all have their thing, Something that they can do, But not me, not yet, My talent has yet to show up. I write and write, plots And twists and poems and Even the rare favorite of The readers I've lured And ensnared in my blog. Yet deep inside, I force myself To write the words that meet The lines of text and thoughts. Then I turn to run, and Find the wind upon my face As I escape my life, But it always catches up, And the worries I face Distract me, making the Outside world obsolete. Even in reading, I find Myself buried in stories That show misfortune in the Lives of fictional characters, Directly only to do as they Were told by the writer. And yet, in stories there is a Beauty unmatched by reality, A world that eventually Results in kindness and Peace and excitement. And being in those worlds, If only for a mere moment, Is my hobby. If only I could Be the character in the ...

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per...
