"Watching Time: Chapter 9" Update

Watching Time Chapter 9 is making some great progress, and I hope I can share it tomorrow! Just wanted to alert you guys that it was coming, since it's been a while. You all probably remember what happened last, but I sure wouldn't've. Personally, I think Chapter 9 is my best so far, as it enhances the plot while only answering questions that no one has asked, and leaving spaces for questions everyone's going to ask. Here's a quick recap for all the chapters so far:

Chapter 1:

A rich man named Earl, who appears to be originally British, adopts Myra, who's not happy about it all. Earl mentions Mark and Naomi, even commenting on how Mark once saved Naomi's life, although he didn't elaborate.
Mark, who's talking with Naomi, notes that she's getting more emotionally unstable, and only getting worse after her mother's death. Myra, who arrives shortly afterwards, gets off on the wrong foot with Mark, causing an near-rival relationship almost immediately.

Chapter 2:

Right off the bat, Myra gets up early to go for a walk, and is paused by Naomi, who seems ready to hand some sort of box to Myra. After obviously deciding against, Myra goes on her way, and Naomi finds herself in tears because she can't find a way to befriend Myra. (Italizised section occurs in the first part of Chapter 3, but for easy of reading, is placed here.)
Ethan communicates a little with Fia, noting how her boredom and his busy schedule are opposites. He bumps into Myra, and asks her to visit Fia for her.
Myra, for the most part, manages to keep her cool during her visit with Fia. They played board games for a while, before Fia made the mistake of calling her mom's food "killer" in describing how good it was, which was when Myra chose to bolt.

Chapter 3:

Myra finds out her entire family, and other friends, are going on vacation. While helping Myra pack, Naomi discovers her mother's dress and once again shows signs of sorrow. Myra ended up meeting John, though nothing notable between them happened.

Chapter 4:

Myra eavesdropped on the others, excluding Earl, and found they had mixed feelings about her. Some of them spoke badly of her, whereas John was the only one notably defending her. Myra's dark humor was revealed, although not much more happened.

Chapter 5:

Myra and John bonded over a diving trip, and John found himself attracted to Myra. Naomi also finds Myra more willing to talk, and finds comfort in having a sister.

Chapter 6:

John hints at his parents' rude behavior. Ethan texts Naomi, uncertain whether he wants to text Fia directly or not. Ethan gets kicked out of school, and gets a week off work, and furthermore decides to hide his lack of education from Fia. Fia becomes thrilled to have time with Ethan.

Chapter 7:

Naomi visits her grandmother, Scarlett, and her grandmother's aide, Solus, whose real name is a mystery to all but Earl. The interesting conflict between Scarlett and Solus arose, indicating Scarlett often repeats the same tales over and over, also implying a memory issue. (Sorry, Shaly.)
Tension rises as Fia gets closer to the truth regarding Ethan and school.
Myra meets her cousin, Rebekah, who is in a very similar situation as Myra. They end up bonding a lot over their similar pasts.

Chapter 8:

Rebekah's past is revealed, showing how a band of murderers tried to hunt her down. Eventually, Rebekah was adopted by Jerome and moved to Texas. She came to terms with her own adoption, knowing now that she had a friend in Myra, her new cousin.

Chapter 9:

   To be revealed!

So, yeah, very quick recap, and I may have missed a few major points, but it saves you from having to go back and reread Part 1. (Oh, yeah, Chapter 9 marks the end of "Part 1: Belonging" and the beginning of "Part 2: Discovering"!)

Comments

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per

Q/A With Shaly

This was bound to happen, like so much that the one that is probably next is I don't know... The Poet of Steel or Spitfire or Lady Knight, or just some other crazy. Plus, you guys know the drill. Mark's Addition : So...well...yeah, if anyone else wants to do one, let me know. Apparently, this is the thing to do on my blog right now, though I admit, I have no clue why.
