5 Popular Video Games

These games occupy a variety of positions in the gaming community. None of these are really ranked in a particular order, and I realize there are many other games out there that could be listed, yet I don't know of them or don't know them well. So, here goes nothing:

5. Plague Inc.
Plague Inc. is a game that has received a lot of fame due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus. Literally everyone I know who plays it only plays it because of the previously mentioned virus. I play it because it's fun, yet I was only introduced to it because my friend played it because of the virus.

4. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
I have never actually played this game, and don't know a whole lot about it, but as someone who actively follows Star Wars related news/content, I've seen this game promoted time and time again. According to my sources, this is probably the best Star Wars game ever.

3. Skyrim
If you ask me what my favorite video game is, I'll probably say "Jedi: Fallen Order". If you ask me what the best video game is? I'll definitely reply with Skyrim. The fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, Skyrim has a huge world, especially for an offline game. There's a super wide variety of what you can do, as well. You can customize your class to specifically fit your own playstyle; wanna be a mix of an assassin and warrior? Go ahead! Want to be a thieving mage? Be your guest! It's still one of the most popular video games ever.

2. Minecraft
Minecraft was a ground-breaking game (literally) for a long time, and then it just...faded. ("Look how old you've become." -Kylo Ren, "The Force Awakens") But over the last couple of years, it's faced a resurgence, due to Update Aquatic, which completely revamped the ocean biome and added turtles and dolphins! (As well as creepy underwater mobs, but who cares about those? TURTLES!) Now, it's got 2 pending updates: the Nether Update, and the unnamed mountain update! It's a very ambitious game, now.

1. Guild Wars 2
Okay, so, this game seems to kinda be experiencing a population decline? A small one, at least? But it's amazing how well this game as retained its player-base despite its many mistakes and lack of keeping to the release schedule. It's the sequel to Guild Wars, which is the most unique MMORPG I have ever played, and these two factors- plus the fact that it still does have a huge player-base despite its slow decline- are why I put this down as #1.

    1. Well, it still might. It's hilarious because the solution to its problems is also its main problem; it's too ambitious. If it makes a single mistake, it risks losing a TON of players

Thankfully, they don't seem to be making any such mistakes, yet. The whole biome-vote appears to be a good way to keep people interested

    2. Oof. If it lost popularity, the servers for online games might be better. After all, trolls go on the most current games, and usually make them bad OR worse.

      I'M LOOKING AT YOU, FORTNITE!

    3. xD Minecraft is definitely faring better than Fortnite. I personally have nothing against Fortnite despite not playing it, but Fortnite is one of those games that most people either love or hate. Minecraft has way more diversity to it, and thus more people are pleased with MC than Fortnite

    4. Error: Someone talked about games and was smart.

Also, check out the poem vote!

Would You Rather...? (#1)

These "Would You Rathers" are small, but they're meant to start debates. Debates, not arguments! Anyways, here's the first one: "In a mystery novel, would you rather have a friend by your side helping you while risking his/her own life... ...or would you rather have your friend safe at home counting on you to solve the mystery and come out safely?"

Q/A With Shaly

This was bound to happen, like so much that the one that is probably next is I don't know... The Poet of Steel or Spitfire or Lady Knight, or just some other crazy. Plus, you guys know the drill. Mark's Addition : So...well...yeah, if anyone else wants to do one, let me know. Apparently, this is the thing to do on my blog right now, though I admit, I have no clue why.

Nexus Mad Libs

I assume most of you are familiar with what Mad Libs are. Basically, you're given a bunch of blanks to fill in, and you do so without knowing what the story is. Each blank has a part of speech labeling it, and that blank needs something that fits the part of speech. For example: Adjective: ________ --> Adjective: Explosive In the end, we usually have a hilarious end result that makes no sense whatsoever. One example is this (which is a real result I got once with my siblings): "Another way to help you fall asleep faster is drinking a nuclear glass of warm vinegar ." First, let's go over some rules. Obviously, keep it family friendly. This still goes for all blog content. Do not submit two words in a row. Submit one, and when someone else does one, you may do another. Submit through comments. That'll make it easier for me to assemble the final result. The category is Medieval Heroes . Here are the blanks: Adjective: Constipated (Kyra) Per
